What  about Tai Chi...

I could go into the health benefits of Tai Chi, but I don't want to get too medical or too technical. If you like, here is a google search on the subject.

Tai Chi gives me an ongoing project- where the learning never ends. Everytime I practice,  I get new insight on form, focus, balance, posture, intention. There is always a layer to peel away, revealing something unexpected. It's like playing a musical instrument... but I am the instrument.

I like the fact that Tai Chi has improved my strength, flexability, and balance. I feel more equipped to deal with gravity- my everyday movements now are much more refined, and specific.

I like having something to practice when I visit a beautiful natural setting. I also like having something to do when I'm waiting- that 8 hour layover at LAX would have been alot tougher without a Tai Chi form to practice.

I suppose what I like best about Tai Chi is the feeling I get from after a session. My mind feels very clear, my legs are tired, but not sore, and my whole body feels relaxed, and buzzing.

Tai Chi is not the only art I practice, but I can't really imagine my life without it at this point...
